Location: Tendring CO16.
We have a network incident in Tendring CO16 affecting internet services. Our team are looking into this and will provide an update when new information becomes available.

Please do not reset your equipment.

Update (29 Dec 2025 15:15hrs)
Engineering teams have attended the fibre break location and installed a temporary utility pole to bring services back online while Openreach work to repair the primary utility pole.

Broadband services were restored at 14:41 29/12/2025.

Customers should now find services to be working as expected. We will continue to monitor services to ensure they remain stable.

Any issues being experienced after this time should be treated as individual cases and reported in the usual manner.

We apologise again for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience throughout this issue.

We have escalated this issue to the network infrastructure provider. They have scheduled an engineer to attend site, investigate the damage, and confirm whether we can proceed with replacing the damaged cable.

We will provide a further update as soon as possible.
Update (28 Dec 2025 13:54hrs)
The engineering team has completed their investigation and found that a road traffic collision has caused damaged to our fibre cables that run across overhead utility poles.

The damage is extensive and requires specially trained third-party engineering teams to perform the repair works which will take a significant amount of time.

Further updates will be provided when new information becomes available.

An engineering team has been dispatched to investigate the fault further with an estimated time of arrival of 13:00 28/12/2025. Further updates will be provided once initial investigations are complete.
Update (27 Dec 2025 21:26hrs)
We have raised the fault with our third-party provider who supplies us connectivity in this area. The third-party are currently investigating the fault and updates will be provided when new information becomes available.
